Summary
The Department of Transportation needed a touch screen training kiosk to assist drivers taking their hazardous motor carrier certification. The particular challenge with this project was twofold: first, all of the narrated text had to be loaded from external text files and stylized with CSS; second, scene transitions had to be triggered from cue points in external audio files. This only made sense, given the volume of content (something like 250 narrated slides). User controls included the usual VCR buttons, as well as icons that launched separate modules and paused the narration until the separate modules were finished.
